Bill Tagney

Bill has owned and operated San Diego Superchargers since 1989.  He received his certification through Lincoln Technical Institute and is ASE certified. He keeps informed of changes in the industry and up to date on the latest technology by attending continuing education classes and seminars.

Bill’s passion for cars began in 1977 when he had the privilege to work with Storrs Engine and Transmission specializing in restoration work for classic Thunderbirds.  Bill is one of a handful of industry professionals skilled in restoration of the ’55 to ’66 classics.

Bill is a race car enthusiast.  His ’62 Corvette was a regular on the NHRA circuit for many years.  These days Bill leaves the driving to the youngsters but remains active in the sport by crewing on a top fuel funny car.

When Bill is not working on a customer build or tweaking a 10,000 Horsepower Funny Car engine he spends time with his wife, Michele, their four children and three grandchildren.

Dwight Brinkerhoff

Dwight has been in the automotive service industry for nearly 30 years.  He started his career working for a small independent shop in El Cajon.  Realizing he had found his niche, Dwight received his certification through Universal Technical Institute and went to work for Chrysler. 

Dwight earned many awards and was recognized by Chrysler as a Certified Master Lead Technician. He received his ASE Certification and maintains that certification through continuing education workshops, classes and seminars.

His experience at Chrysler and the certifications he earned gave him the knowledge and experience to open his own shop.  Being an off road enthusiast himself, Dwight recognized the need for a premier off road shop in East County.  Mendeola was formed in 2006.

Dwight and Bill began collaborating on projects and found the collaboration to be a success.  Dwight’s knowledge and expertise in transmission rebuilds and off-road builds combined with Bill’s knowledge and expertise in high-performance street and hot rod builds was taking off.  In 1997 Dwight began working with Bill as Lead Technician and Shop Foreman.  

Dwight enjoys spending time off roading in the desert with his wife, Lisa, and their four children.
